Bio

With nearly 22 years of fundraising and development experience in both non-profit and higher education environments, Leetah Stanley joined the Office of Development, Alumni & Student Engagement at the School of Education as the alumni and student engagement coordinator in January 2022. Her responsibilities are centered around donor stewardship, alumni and student engagement, special events, and scholarship oversight.

Before coming to the School of Education, Stanley worked for 11 years as the associate director of donor stewardship at the VCU School of Medicine, and for the four years prior, as a development associate at the VCU School of Dentistry beginning in 2005 when she moved to Richmond. Stanley was the director of volunteer services at the Sexual Assault Center in Nashville for seven years and was awarded the Team Building Award by the Center for Non-profit Management.

She also has a previous career as a full-time touring vocalist/musician and continues to perform on a part-time basis.
